The mozjs38 patch does not work at all,

Hence, restoring to a working state.
This reverts commit 85e785c922.
That commit breaks the build with
> configure: error: libsystemd autoconfigured, but system does not appear to use systemd
when running ./autogen.sh, which implicitly runs ./configure.
