e7a570ff7d asm-generic: Add default clkdev.h
Ease the deployment of clkdev by providing a default asm/clkdev.h for
use if the arch does not have an include/asm/clkdev.h.

Due to limitations in Kbuild we manually add clkdev.h to all
architectures that don't have one rather than having the header appear
by default.

d2ce4e92fa um: kill thread->forking
we only use that to tell copy_thread() done by syscall from that
done by kernel_thread(). However, it's easier to do simply by
checking PF_KTHREAD in thread flags.

Merge sys_clone() guts for 32bit and 64bit, while we are at it...

07acfc2a93 Merge branch 'next' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/virt/kvm/kvm
Pull KVM changes from Avi Kivity:
 "Changes include additional instruction emulation, page-crossing MMIO,
  faster dirty logging, preventing the watchdog from killing a stopped
  guest, module autoload, a new MSI ABI, and some minor optimizations
  and fixes. Outside x86 we have a small s390 and a very large ppc
  update.

  Regarding the new (for kvm) rebaseless workflow, some of the patches
  that were merged before we switch trees had to be rebased, while
  others are true pulls. In either case the signoffs should be correct
  now."

Fix up trivial conflicts in Documentation/feature-removal-schedule.txt
arch/powerpc/kvm/book3s_segment.S and arch/x86/include/asm/kvm_para.h.

I suspect the kvm_para.h resolution ends up doing the "do I have cpuid"
check effectively twice (it was done differently in two different
commits), but better safe than sorry ;)

ec0d7f18ab Merge branch 'x86-fpu-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip
Pull fpu state cleanups from Ingo Molnar:
 "This tree streamlines further aspects of FPU handling by eliminating
  the prepare_to_copy() complication and moving that logic to
  arch_dup_task_struct().

  It also fixes the FPU dumps in threaded core dumps, removes and old
  (and now invalid) assumption plus micro-optimizes the exit path by
  avoiding an FPU save for dead tasks."

Fixed up trivial add-add conflict in arch/sh/kernel/process.c that came
in because we now do the FPU handling in arch_dup_task_struct() rather
than the legacy (and now gone) prepare_to_copy().

* 'x86-fpu-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tip/tip:

f15b9000eb um: Implement a custom pte_same() function
UML uses the _PAGE_NEWPAGE flag to mark pages which are not jet
installed on the host side using mmap().
pte_same() has to ignore this flag, otherwise unuse_pte_range()
is unable to unuse the page because two identical
page tables entries with different _PAGE_NEWPAGE flags would not
match and swapoff() would never return.

55ccf3fe3f fork: move the real prepare_to_copy() users to arch_dup_task_struct()
Historical prepare_to_copy() is mostly a no-op, duplicated for majority of

register state like fpu there.

Remove it and use the arch_dup_task_struct() instead.

Merge tag 'split-asm_system_h-for-linus-20120328' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/dhowells/linux-asm_system

Pull "Disintegrate and delete asm/system.h" from David Howells:
 "Here are a bunch of patches to disintegrate asm/system.h into a set of
  separate bits to relieve the problem of circular inclusion
  dependencies.

  I've built all the working defconfigs from all the arches that I can
  and made sure that they don't break.

  The reason for these patches is that I recently encountered a circular
  dependency problem that came about when I produced some patches to
  optimise get_order() by rewriting it to use ilog2().

  This uses bitops - and on the SH arch asm/bitops.h drags in
  asm-generic/get_order.h by a circuituous route involving asm/system.h.

  The main difficulty seems to be asm/system.h. It holds a number of
  low level bits with no/few dependencies that are commonly used (eg.
  memory barriers) and a number of bits with more dependencies that
  aren't used in many places (eg. switch_to()).

  These patches break asm/system.h up into the following core pieces:

    (1) asm/barrier.h

        Move memory barriers here. This already done for MIPS and Alpha.

    (2) asm/switch_to.h

        Move switch_to() and related stuff here.

    (3) asm/exec.h

        Move arch_align_stack() here. Other process execution related bits
        could perhaps go here from asm/processor.h.

    (4) asm/cmpxchg.h

        Move xchg() and cmpxchg() here as they're full word atomic ops and
        frequently used by atomic_xchg() and atomic_cmpxchg().

    (5) asm/bug.h

        Move die() and related bits.

    (6) asm/auxvec.h

        Move AT_VECTOR_SIZE_ARCH here.

  Other arch headers are created as needed on a per-arch basis."

Fixed up some conflicts from other header file cleanups and moving code
around that has happened in the meantime, so David's testing is somewhat
weakened by that. We'll find out anything that got broken and fix it..

... so take it to arch/um/x86/asm.

b3ee571e58 um: take ldt.h to arch/x86/um/asm/mm_context.h
it's x86-only and we have no business playing with it in asm/mmu.h; make
the latter have
	struct uml_arch_mm_context arch;
instead of
	struct uml_ldt ldt;
and let arch/<subarch>/um/asm/mm_context.h decide what'll be in there.
While we are at it, kill host_ldt.h - it's not needed in part of places
that include it (we want asm/ldt.h in those) and it can be trivially
expanded into the single remaining one.
