d1c5ea33c0 smc91x: SMC_IO_SHIFT platform data support for default case
Commit 159198862a added SMC_IO_SHIFT
platform data support. After that ARM board support was added.

The default case is still missing though, so on SuperH SMC_IO_SHIFT
is constantly zero regardless of what you pass as platform data.

52256c0e06 [NET] smc91x: prepare SMC_USE_PXA_DMA to be specified in platform data
Now that the original SMC_USE_PXA_DMA specific code will always being
built if CONFIG_ARCH_PXA is defined, so to make this part of the code
to be PXA public, and still prevent it from being built if support of
PXA is not selected.

A SMC91X_USE_DMA flag is added to the platform data to allow platform
to choose its usage of DMA. Note this flag itself is so named to be
generic enough (assuming other platforms can also use DMA).

It keeps backward compatibility to set the SMC91X_USE_DMA flag if
SMC_USE_PXA_DMA is still defined.

159198862a [NET] smc91x: prepare for SMC_IO_SHIFT to be a platform configurable variable
Now one can use the following code

  #define SMC_IO_SHIFT	lp->io_shift

The tradeoff is, this can be specified in the smc91x platform data so
that multiple boards support can be built in a single zImage.

e7b3dc7ef1 [NET] smc91x: Make smc91x use IRQ resource trigger flags
smc91x is shared between many different platforms. Each platform needs
to specify the interrupt type, and in some cases the irq type depends
on more than just the build configuration - it depends on runtime
checks.

Rather than throwing this code into the SMC_IRQ_FLAGS definition, provide
a way for these flags to be passed via the IRQ resource itself.

Note that IRQF_TRIGGER_* constants are intentionally defined to correspond
with the IORESOURCE_IRQ_* interrupt type flags, in much the same way that
the low bits of PCI iomem resources correspond with the BAR flag bits.

Also provide a way to configure smc91x to read the IRQ flags from the
resource. Once all platforms have been converted over (signified
by all definitions of SMC_IRQ_FLAGS being -1) SMC_IRQ_FLAGS should
be removed.

This patch adds LAN91C111 ethernet interface support for zylonite

quite difficult for the moment, so ugly #ifdef is still used here.

073ac8fd4a [NET] smc91x: fix PXA DMA support code

092ed997c0 net: smc91x: Build fixes for general sh boards.
SH boards in general only wire this up in 8 or 16-bit mode, and
as we never had the wrappers for 32-bit mode defined, SMC_CAN_USE_32BIT
caused build failure for the non-Solution Engine boards. This gets it
building again.

Also kill off the straggling set_irq_type() definition, this is left
over cruft that was missed when the rest of it switched to IRQ flags.

6026ee67ed smc91x: sh solution engine fixes.
The current smc91x I/O routines ifdef the solution engine subtypes
individually, which is rather bogus, as they can simply use
CONFIG_SOLUTION_ENGINE instead. This fixes it for some of the other
solution engines that weren't included in the ifdef list (SH7206
specifically).

There are also inb/outb definitions which are totally bogus (missing
brackets in _both_ cases, SMC_CAN_USE_8BIT == 0, and even better, they
try to use a 16-bit access to fake 8-bit access). Kill that nonsense off
completely.

7d12e780e0 IRQ: Maintain regs pointer globally rather than passing to IRQ handlers
Maintain a per-CPU global "struct pt_regs *" variable which can be used instead
of passing regs around manually through all ~1800 interrupt handlers in the
Linux kernel.

The regs pointer is used in few places, but it potentially costs both stack
space and code to pass it around. On the FRV arch, removing the regs parameter
from all the genirq function results in a 20% speed up of the IRQ exit path
(ie: from leaving timer_interrupt() to leaving do_IRQ()).

Where appropriate, an arch may override the generic storage facility and do
something different with the variable. On FRV, for instance, the address is
maintained in GR28 at all times inside the kernel as part of general exception
handling.

Having looked over the code, it appears that the parameter may be handed down
through up to twenty or so layers of functions. Consider a USB character
device attached to a USB hub, attached to a USB controller that posts its
interrupts through a cascaded auxiliary interrupt controller. A character
device driver may want to pass regs to the sysrq handler through the input
layer which adds another few layers of parameter passing.

I've build this code with allyesconfig for x86_64 and i386. I've runtested the
main part of the code on FRV and i386, though I can't test most of the drivers.
I've also done partial conversion for powerpc and MIPS - these at least compile
with minimal configurations.

This will affect all archs. Mostly the changes should be relatively easy.
Take do_IRQ(), store the regs pointer at the beginning, saving the old one:

	struct pt_regs *old_regs = set_irq_regs(regs);

And put the old one back at the end:

	set_irq_regs(old_regs);

Don't pass regs through to generic_handle_irq() or __do_IRQ().

In timer_interrupt(), this sort of change will be necessary:

	-	update_process_times(user_mode(regs));
	-	profile_tick(CPU_PROFILING, regs);
	+	update_process_times(user_mode(get_irq_regs()));
	+	profile_tick(CPU_PROFILING);

I'd like to move update_process_times()'s use of get_irq_regs() into itself,
except that i386, alone of the archs, uses something other than user_mode().

Some notes on the interrupt handling in the drivers:

 (*) input_dev() is now gone entirely. The regs pointer is no longer stored in
     the input_dev struct.

 (*) finish_unlinks() in drivers/usb/host/ohci-q.c needs checking. It does
     something different depending on whether it's been supplied with a regs
     pointer or not.

 (*) Various IRQ handler function pointers have been moved to type
     irq_handler_t.

7e29f8bf39 [PATCH] build fixes: smc91x
Unclear how these bugs arrived, presumably from incorrect cleanup of
the 16-bit-only paths, but smc91x wouldn't build for OMAP.

09e590e5d5 [PATCH] smc91x: disable DMA mode on the logicpd pxa270
Enabling PXA DMA for the smc91x on the logicpd pxa270 produces
unacceptable interference with the TFT panel, so disable it. Also
delete the lpd270 versions of the SMC_{in,out}[bl]() macros, as they
aren't used, since the board only supports 16bit accesses.
