c6f15070e7 net: dsa: make NET_DSA manually selectable from the config
Change bd76a11670 made all DSA drivers
depend on NET_DSA rather than selecting them. However, as the only way
to select this option was to actually select a driver, it made DSA
impossible to enable at all.

This patch adds an explicit entry which the user will have to enable
prior selecting a driver.

bd76a11670 dsa: change "select" to "depends on" for NET_SWITCHDEV and for NET_DSA
This would fix randconfig compile error:
net/built-in.o: In function `netdev_switch_fib_ipv4_abort':
(.text+0xf7811): undefined reference to `fib_flush_external'

Also it fixes following warnings:
warning: (NET_DSA) selects NET_SWITCHDEV which has unmet direct dependencies (NET && INET)

warning: (NET_DSA_MV88E6060 && NET_DSA_MV88E6131 && NET_DSA_MV88E6123_61_65 && NET_DSA_MV88E6171 && NET_DSA_MV88E6352 && NET_DSA_BCM_SF2) selects NET_DSA which has unmet direct dependencies (NET && HAVE_NET_DSA && NET_SWITCHDEV)

b73adef677 net: dsa: integrate with SWITCHDEV for HW bridging
In order to support bridging offloads in DSA switch drivers, select
NET_SWITCHDEV to get access to the port_stp_update and parent_get_id
NDOs that we are required to implement.

To facilitate the integratation at the DSA driver level, we implement 3
types of operations:

- port_join_bridge
- port_leave_bridge
- port_stp_update

DSA will resolve which switch ports that are currently bridge port
members as some Switch hardware/drivers need to know about that to limit
the register programming to just the relevant registers (especially for
slow MDIO buses).

We also take care of setting the correct STP state when slave network
devices are brought up/down while being bridge members.

Finally, when a port is leaving the bridge, we make sure we set in
BR_STATE_FORWARDING state, otherwise the bridge layer would leave it
disabled as a result of having left the bridge.

Add support for the 4-bytes Broadcom tag that built-in switches such as
the Starfighter 2 might insert when receiving packets, or that we need

we can assign DSA-specific network operations within the DSA drivers.

b3422a314c dsa: Hide core config options; make drivers select what they need
Commit 82167cb8c6 ('net: dsa/slave: Fix
compilation warnings') fixed one possible invalid configuration
(NET_DSA enabled with no trailer formats) but added others: drivers
can select NET_DSA without its dependencies being met.

It's not very useful to make either the DSA core or the tagging
formats manually selectable without a driver to use them, so:

1. Define a hidden HAVE_NET_DSA option and move the dependencies of
NET_DSA to that. While we're at it, drop the deprecated
   EXPERIMENTAL dependency.
2. Make NET_DSA and the drivers dependent on HAVE_NET_DSA.
3. Hide the tagging format options again.
4. Make drivers select both NET_DSA and the appropriate tagging format
   option.

82167cb8c6 net: dsa/slave: Fix compilation warnings
Currently when none of CONFIG_NET_DSA_TAG_DSA, CONFIG_NET_DSA_TAG_EDSA and
CONFIG_NET_DSA_TAG_TRAILER is defined, we get following compilation warnings:

net/dsa/slave.c:51:12: warning: 'dsa_slave_init' defined but not used [-Wunused-function]
net/dsa/slave.c:60:12: warning: 'dsa_slave_open' defined but not used [-Wunused-function]

net/dsa/slave.c:164:12: warning: 'dsa_slave_ioctl' defined but not used [-Wunused-function]

Earlier approach to fix this was discussed here:

lkml.org/lkml/2012/10/29/549

This is another approach to fix it. This is done by some changes in config
options, which make more sense than the earlier approach. As, atleast one
tagging option must always be selected for using net/dsa/ infrastructure, this
patch selects NET_DSA from tagging configs instead of having it as an selectable
config.

2e5f032095 dsa: add support for the Marvell 88E6131 switch chip
Add support for the Marvell 88E6131 switch chip. This chip only
supports the original (ethertype-less) DSA tagging format.

On the 88E6131, there is a PHY Polling Unit (PPU) which has exclusive
access to each of the PHYs's MII management registers. If we want to
talk to the PHYs from software, we have to disable the PPU and wait
for it to complete its current transaction before we can do so, and we
need to re-enable the PPU afterwards to make sure that the switch will
notice changes in link state and speed on the individual ports as they
occur.

Since disabling the PPU is rather slow, and since MII management
accesses are typically done in bursts, this patch keeps the PPU disabled
for 10ms after a software access completes. This makes handling the
PPU slightly more complex, but speeds up something like running ethtool
on one of the switch slave interfaces from ~300ms to ~30ms on typical
hardware.

cf85d08fdf dsa: add support for original DSA tagging format
Most of the DSA switches currently in the field do not support the
Ethertype DSA tagging format that one of the previous patches added
support for, but only the original DSA tagging format.

The original DSA tagging format carries the same information as the
Ethertype DSA tagging format, but with the difference that it does not
have an ethertype field. In other words, when receiving a packet that
is tagged with an original DSA tag, there is no way of telling in
eth_type_trans() that this packet is in fact a DSA-tagged packet.

This patch adds a hook into eth_type_trans() which is only compiled in
if support for a switch chip that doesn't support Ethertype DSA is
selected, and which checks whether there is a DSA switch driver
instance attached to this network device which uses the old tag format.
If so, it sets the protocol field to ETH_P_DSA without looking at the
packet, so that the packet ends up in the right place.

91da11f870 net: Distributed Switch Architecture protocol support
Distributed Switch Architecture is a protocol for managing hardware
switch chips. It consists of a set of MII management registers and
commands to configure the switch, and an ethernet header format to
signal which of the ports of the switch a packet was received from
or is intended to be sent to.

The switches that this driver supports are typically embedded in
access points and routers, and a typical setup with a DSA switch
looks something like this:

	+-----------+ +-----------+
	| | RGMII | |
	| +-------+ +------ 1000baseT MDI ("WAN")
	| | | 6-port +------ 1000baseT MDI ("LAN1")
	| CPU | | ethernet +------ 1000baseT MDI ("LAN2")
	| |MIImgmt| switch +------ 1000baseT MDI ("LAN3")
	| +-------+ w/5 PHYs +------ 1000baseT MDI ("LAN4")
	| | | |
	+-----------+ +-----------+

The switch driver presents each port on the switch as a separate
network interface to Linux, polls the switch to maintain software
link state of those ports, forwards MII management interface
accesses to those network interfaces (e.g. as done by ethtool) to
the switch, and exposes the switch's hardware statistics counters
via the appropriate Linux kernel interfaces.

This initial patch supports the MII management interface register
layout of the Marvell 88E6123, 88E6161 and 88E6165 switch chips, and
supports the "Ethertype DSA" packet tagging format.

(There is no officially registered ethertype for the Ethertype DSA
packet format, so we just grab a random one. The ethertype to use
is programmed into the switch, and the switch driver uses the value
of ETH_P_EDSA for this, so this define can be changed at any time in
the future if the one we chose is allocated to another protocol or
if Ethertype DSA gets its own officially registered ethertype, and
everything will continue to work.)
